Customer reviewsI m not sure how this thing has so many good reviews.
I thought I was going to love this. It worked great for the first 15 minutes or so of on off cutting through branches less than 4 and then it happened - the chain came loose and fell off the bar. I replaced the chain, tightened everything up and it worked for a few more minutes before it happened again. It was like that on and off for about 2 hours, then I called it quits. Basically a 30 minute job, turned into a 2 hour saga. I tried one more time today hoping against all odds that it work. I was wrong. No matter how many times I adjusted the chain torque and tension, it wouldn t cut and the chain kept coming off the bar and kicking back. It s a good thing no one was close to it or they would have been hurt. After spinning my wheels for several minutes trying to get everything back in order, I realized it was not the operator, but the product itself and no matter how much I wanted it to work, it wasn t going to. I finally gave up. We called the manufacturer, who had no real ideas on what to do to solve our problem after all, we had already tried everything the manual suggested . They wanted us to register the product so they could replace it in who knows how many weeks. Instead, we re returning it to Amazon as a defective product. I need a reliable product that is going to make my job easier instead of making me work harder and longer. Ugh.
