This does really well on hard floors and is mainly why I bought this model. The suction is great for such a small vacuum. It picks up dust and crumbs and everything on my hardwood, rugs, carpet, and microfiber couch easily. The cord is long and cumbersome but hey a battery charged vacuum would lose suction quickly think minutes later once taken off charge and the battery would quit within a couple years. Perfect for small spaces, and I can easily maneuver it under my dresser, couch, bed, etc.
