Customer reviewsComparing my Bobsweep, Neato and Samsung bot vacs
Compared to my previous horrible experiences with a Samsung R7065 robot vac, the Neato D7 is amazing. Neato came with a year warranty from purchase date. Samsung R7065 Amazon site stated a year warranty but I purchased it in April and Samsung records showed warranty expires in February, so Samsung gave me less than 10 months warranty. Neato goes to his charger every time without issue. Samsung never did. Neato does not die in rooms looking for its charger. Samsung did constantly. Neato does not spin around aimlessly trying to figure out where it is. That was my Samsung vac s normal behavior. Neato mapping looks like my home s actual floor plan, even plotting where furniture is. Samsung s map looks like a child s scribble, is completely illegible, and served no purpose. I did not have to call Neato about anything to get it App connected and running. All Samsung help requests go straight to the Philippines and provide zero assistance. I had to send my new Samsung R7065 to their repair center three times in the first 7 months. The third and last time, UPS tracking shows Samsung Repair in New Jersey received my vac, including the name of the Samsung employee who received it. Three days later they sent email stating they never got it. They closed the service ticket after a month, continuing to show on their repair status website they never got it. They lost my new Samsung 600 vac and will not respond or do anything about it even though UPS and I provided them with proof they received it and the name of Samsung employee who received it, and the date and time to the minute it was scanned into the repair center. Samsung Repair won t return emails, won t even answer their phone when their own Filipino Samsung Pros try to call them. Samsung refund center in North Carolina wants me to remove and send them the serial number decal from the vac before I can get a refund. How can I do that Samsung lost the vac. My Neato D7 is responding flawlessly. Thorough cleaning, no-go lines actually work The only negative is it is slightly louder than Samsung, and slightly louder than the Bobsweep I also had. The Neato is more powerful had no issue moving from wood floor, to ceramic tile, to deep pile carpet. I think that extra power is consistent with the noise and is not problematic. Bobsweep cleaned well but the cleaning schedule kept resetting itself to either off or random days. Bobsweep customer service phone interactions were nice but follow-through was slow, sometimes several days to respond. I returned it due to the scheduling issue because I used up all patience with Samsung. Otherwise, the Bobsweep performed well. Of these three brand experiences, Neato is way ahead. Don t even consider Samsung. Samsung help is non-existent, and when they lose your vac and you re out 600 they couldn t care less. See my many, long Samsung feedbacks and the comments link posted on the Amazon R7065 page. I will also be posting my Samsung experiences on the Bobsweep and Consumer Reports feedback sites, and I will be doing a detailed review of my Samsung R7065 experiences on YouTube. I gave Samsung a month to make this right and they blew it after weeks of phone calls to nowhere, ignored emails, and useless online help chats. Neato is the way to go. Stay as far away from Samsung vacs as you can. Even if you get a Samsung vac as a gift, put it on eBay ASAP to avoid major waste of your time, energy and patience.
