Spencer kohl: Most versatile metal detector in its price range

When i think of Minelab I don t think of metal detectors in the sub 300 price range. I decided to take a chance in it based on the fact that s it s the only single frequency VLF metal detector that is advertised to work on wet mineralized sand. I m really glad I took the chance. It doesn t work in all metal mode in wet sand but It does work 100 when you discriminate iron. There are literally no false signals. The only negative I can find about this detector is the coil shape. It s an odd choice and takes a little getting used to but it really works well on the beach. Especially if your sand scoop is roughly the same size width of the rectangular coil. I never miss a target.
