The C10FSHCT is a 10 sliding compound dual bevel Miter Saw with laser marker. It features an improved motor with 42 more power and 40 more torque. The C10FSHCT miter saw is lightweight 45.2 lbs. and equipped with a simple compact slide structure. This slide system decreases the footprint of the saw by up to a foot, enabling the saw to sit nearly flush against a wall or on a benchtop without compromising the range of movement. For this reason, the C10FSHCT is a great miter saw for small shops and tight garages. The saw is equipped with an LED light to give the user more visibility and a safer work environment in low light situations. The easily adjustable tool-less laser marker allows the user to make accurate cuts every time.

I don t think you ll be disappointed.I replaced my older Porter Cable saw with this one and I m very pleased so far. This saw is loaded with power. Out of the box the blade was square. My Porter Cable wasn t a slide saw and there s no comparison when it comes to cutting wide stock lumber. I cut through 2 x12 boards in one pass with no problem. Some people complained about the laser but I don t see their problem. It works fine. I like that the laser doesn t work separately off of batteries as my Porter Cable did and half the time wouldn t work , though I don t rely on the laser except to sometimes to check my line to the squareness of where the actual cut will be. As for the dust collection....yes it could be better. I used an extra vac hose that fits my 6 gal. shop vac. The largest end fits perfectly into the dust port of the saw. However, you end up with a hose coming out of the saw port that is the same size as the hose coming out of the shop vac that won t connect together. What I did was cut an end off an extra section I had from a floor wand extension just the end that fits over the end of the vac hose, as if you were attaching it to your vac. It will only be about 3 long but It works as a coupler to attach both hoses together. It fits nice and tight. Problem solved and you have a nice long hose. Of course it doesn t vac every minute particle of dust but it s as good as it s going to get. I did a lot of research and without spending big bucks for highly professional saws I don t think this one can be beat. As the saying goes This ain t my first rodeo .
