Good product, EXCEPTGood product, EXCEPT... the wire cutter does not come sharp nor is the placement of the cutter appropriate. This will result in the plastic cutter wire to extend beyond the cutter head skirt guard, resulting in damage breakage of the plastic skirt. Not a huge deal, but I did have to modify trim the plastic skirt after the first use of the trimmer due to some damage resulting from this design flaw. I also sharpened the string cutter myself. With these modifications, the trimmer is working well, but I can t believe these easily correctable design flaws were allowed to make it to the customer. I m a big advocate of Makita and own many of the cordless tools but frankly this should be embarrassing to the engineers at Makita.
