The Gimbal Ratchet design allows the ratchet head to rotate on two planes, providing easier access for the end user. The 72-tooth ratcheting mechanism provides a five-degree swing arc and allows technicians to spin fasteners on and off in hard-to-reach areas where it s difficult to use a standard ratchet. Like other GearWrench Ratchets, the gimbal ratchet exceeds ASME performance requirements. The anodized aluminum finish offers protection and makes the ratchet easy to clean.

Customer reviews
Looks cool, but that s about it.I wanted to like this. I had high hopes that it would be one of those random, highly useful tools. This isn t actually a ratchet. There is no ratcheting mechanism. I would describe it more like a breaker bar for areas that only a socket will fit. Next, be careful when loosening as you run the risk of the whole mechanism slipping as it s just pressure against a piece of plastic on the top.
