It is so light.I tried my friends Eco because I wanted to see just how powerful a brushless motor is. I AM IMPRESSED. Before I buy I always check Consumer Reports. The Eco was 2nd and the Eco was first. The difference was Ease of use. Three things were different. You can easily fold the Eco, the Ego not so much. However, the carbon fiber shaft made an incredible difference in the weigh, almost by half. The battery lasts the same, but I believe the Ego s is lighter. The other advantage of the Ego is that after you thread the twisted line through the pass-through and even the 13 length, simply press a button and it winds itself. You can t beat that with a stick. There is one * * * WARNING * * *. Make sure you purchase it from an authorized dealer. I bought mine from a recommended private seller who was not an authorized dealer and there is NO WARRANTY. That may or may not be important.
