Works very well, did a great job cutting most things, battery charge lasts close to an hour of solid useI do like this thing, I think it works pretty effectively for most things. I got it to help me trim places on my lawn where a lawn mower would have trouble accessing, and to trim some shrubs in my back yard. This thing took a few hours to charge up after plugging it in. Be careful handling it at all, don t assume because it needs to be charged up that it doesn t already come with a bit of a charge to it. I learned that when I just tested the trimmer to see how to properly get it to work, it came on. So keep your fingers out of the way at all times from the blade when handling it. As far as its effectiveness, it is great on quite a bit, but it cannot take on any sort of shrub twig thicker than a half inch in diameter. It will get stuck in the blades every single time. The blades themselves are quite effective on more of the leaves, grass, and other greenery. I like the way it operates, you have to be holding a button in, and squeezing the handle trigger to turn it on. So it does act as a sort of safety feature in that. It s not overly noisy, so it s not likely to disturb neighbors. I think I got about 45 minutes of solid time in using this before the battery started to run down and need recharging. It is pretty easy to tell when this thing s battery is getting low, it won t even cut simple grass blades without stalling out. But overall, I am Very happy with how this works.
