A digital LCD screen displays charging current, load current, and battery-voltage in 5 second intervals. Two LED lights display charge function and battery status. I bought this controller to handle the watts of production from the solar system. There is enough capacity to add another panel if required. The price was right and I like this charge controller because the options for load control not typically found on less expensive models. I can tune the charge controller for each specific use of a solar application. At some point, the 12 volt solar system may be changing to a 24 volt system and therefore a new controller will not have to be purchased. I like this controller well enough to purchase a second one and both are operating to my expectations. Will be running Aquaponics using solar in the near future and this controller is high on my list for purchase. The instructions for the settings are not very clear so you may have to play with the settings for your application.Start with the default settings and adjust for your needs thereafter.
